I have excel 2007, but I find that the colour used to highlight the selection is too translucent to be visible on my screen. Looking at this video, the selection colour for 07 is very visible. Is there any way I can change my settings to darken the colour? Changing my screen’s contrast/resolution or window’s display options are not practical solutions.

I’m glad they’ve improved that. An even nicer tip is that Ctrl-* (Control Asterisk) selects the whole block without having to scroll at all (in Excel 2003, too.)

Thanks for pointing this feature out. I am currently playing around with Office 2007 Beta 2, but I never read about this new feature. All I can say about the feature is…it’s about time!
